Re: Main "goals" of dinosaur paleontology in the 21st Century

8.....How about a better integration of past and future work onto the world wide web. The development of a central repository of photo identification keys for vertebrate and invertebrate fossils. (Sort of a treatise of paleontology online.) The things that you ask are cerebral, the things I suggest are practical and will make a huge difference to the former.

Good day!
I've been recently thinking a little bit on this matter and decided to make a short list of the main future "tasks" of this wonderful science. I'd like to hear opinions of the DML members.

1.) Cause of dinosaur extinction

2.) Generally agreed cladogram

3.) Dinosaur thermophysiology

4.) Dinosaur K/T survival

5.) Gaining and extracting dinosaur "soft tissues" (and proteins...)

6.) Keeping the search for the largest sauropod/theropod and an for more complete remains for elusive taxa (Deinocheirus, unnamed giant Carcharodontosaurid, *Bruhathkayosaurus*, Amphicoelias etc.)

7.) Resolving question for how extensive lineage presented feathery integument a synapomorphy.

8.)...?

Thank you for any comment, Vlad
