Why the defeatist attitude? It's not like we're anywhere close to
completely understanding the physiology of living animals yet. Surely we'll
eventually know enough to correlate various characters with corresponding
ranges of endo-exothermy, homeo-poekilothermy, and metabolic rates in living
animals, at which point we can use their presence in different Mesozoic
dinosaurs to make strong predictions about their physiology.
