We must have seen different movies.
IMHO, Jackson does it again.  A fantastic piece of cinematic magic.

The dinosaurs could have had 6 legs with furry purple butts and unicorn
horns on their noses and I would have loved the story just as much.  I
rate it 9 stars out of 10.

A couple scenes toward the end were paced a bit too fast (I got
whiplash), but that is a minor quibble.
