"Archaeorhynchus spathula"
The Hongshanornis paper's supplementary info contains "Archaeorhynchus
spathula" as an OTU, which I haven't heard of. Also present is
Patagopteryx. Both are missing from their published cladogram. I haven't
converted their Excel file to a NEXUS yet to see exactly what kind of bird
"Archaeorhynchus" is. Hongshanornis is an odd bird, with completely
toothless jaws, two phalanges on manual digit III, amphicoelous cervicals, a
predentary, and unexpanded posterolateral sternal processes. I'm coding
both genera in my matrix.
