Here I am again...
In case anyone wondered, owner-dinosaur was on my blacklist, presumably
because some spam had spoofed that address on November 28th or so. I was
busy on another mailing list and other things (including even my
thesis...!), so I didn't even notice that I didn't get DML mail until
yesterday! I've now read the archives, and...
- I'd be very grateful for the pdf of the 10th specimen of Archie. I can't
quite imagine why, but from the computers in this room (at least) I don't
have full-text access to Science.
- I can't wait for Mickey's next analysis, because that one includes all
necessary birds-depending-on-the-definition, instead of just the
relatively derived *Confuciusornis*! Such as *Shenzhouraptor* with its
more than 25 tail vertebrae, or *Sapeornis* with its completely
plesiomorphic coracoids and full-length fibula... or *Jinfengopteryx*...
- The only thing that I find false about the ground-up/trees-down
dichotomy is that it's a polytomy instead. For example WAIR ("from the
ground up the trees"...) is a third option, and so on.
