Oh, and while we have some of the avian-interested people talking: does anyone 
know of a database or publication that lists feather lengths (primaries and 
secondaries) for a large sample of species?  The intraspecific samples need not 
be huge, I mostly need a lot of different samples at the species level or 
above.  This is related to the topic at hand, I promise.
