I'm not sure tightening the rules is desirable. I like the ability to
anonymously edit entries.

I think better solutions are:
- Awareness. People need to be aware that Wikipedia is generally less
reliable than a "real" encyclopedia.
- Citations! A good Wikipedia article should be liberally peppered
with references to actual published literature. That way the veracity
can be double-checked.
