Re: How Did T.Rex and other Dinosaurs Sleep?
From: "Imponderables Guy (sent by Nabble.com)" <lists@nabble.com>
I write a series of books in which I answer mysteries sent in by readers.
If they are mysteries, how do you answer them?
One of my readers asked in what conceivable position the T.Rex slept. The
books I have consulted have been rather murky on the subject, and I was
wondering if anyone on this forum would have comments on the subject.
1. Do we know for a fact that dinosaurs slept?
No. A fossil of a sleeping dinosaur remains to be discovered, at least as
far as I know. I suspect they did, based on the fact that every known
vertebrate sleeps at some point, but that's just speculation on my part.
2. Do we have evidence of the position in which any kind of dinosaur
slept?
If we don't know they slept at all, we could hardly know their sleeping
position, could we?
3. Anything special about the T.Rex?
Lots of things.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Anytime.
