Sad News

Dear Members of the DML and Vert Paleo Lists,

It is with sadness that I pass along the news that Donna Engard, an active
member of SVP, passed away on November 21 after a battle with cancer. She
had a kind heart, a good soul, and was a true friend and lover of life -
present, past, and prehistoric. She was a driving force at the Dinosaur
Depot Museum in Canon City, Colorado. A memorial gathering will be held at
Wilson Funeral Home (in Canon City, I presume) on December 11 at 1:00 pm.

Dinosaur Depot was the center of her life and of her dreams for vertebrate
paleontology. In lieu of flowers it is requested that contributions to her
memory be sent to Dinosaur Depot Museum, 330 Royal Gorge Blvd., Canon City,
CO 81212, 719-269-7150, <office@dinosaurdepot.com>. Nothing would bring her
more joy than to see her beloved little museum grow and thrive.
