Yes you are right, My mistake. Marsh DIDN't propose Brontosauridae. He used 
Atlantosauridae in
1877, Diplodocidae first in 1884, Titanosauridae in 1875 [non Lydekker 1885]. 
Also, Brontosaurus
was named in 1879.  


Doesn't this mean that Atlantosauridae has priority? - even over Diplodocidae?
Atlantosauria sounds cooler than Brontosauria, if coolness is important?
