The issue with the skeletal reconstruction of *Harpymimus* that has, amazingly
enough, appeared in _Dinosauria II_ and I never noticed (not that I am
prohibitive of this, since they are freely available with citation) is that
most of the specimen was drawn from a mount and calibrated using the mandible's
length from the original paper, along with the forelimb, pes, and distal
tarsometatarsus, which at the time I rendered the specimen was all that I had
available for measuring. The posterior skull and upper jaw in the skeleton were
rendered from photos of the mount, and a lot of time and measuring were spent
on flat-copy of the photos off a decent printer, which means that details were,
unfortunately, lost. This isn't too much of a problem, unfortunately, for the
purposes of length, but is a problem for detail. I have a better copy of the
*Harpymimus* skeleton available on request including the original scale I used
to set for the panoply image on the Dinosauricon.
