Re: Land of the Lost Nostalgia

Elderly?!?!? I'll have you know I grew up with LotL, and I am 31! Ok,
admittedly, I was so young that I used to hide on the other side of the door
to my parents' bedroom (where the American-made black and white television
lived) for the end of the opening credits because I was scared of the
tyrannosaur. I have never seen the LotL revival, but my patchy memories of
Sleestacks [sic?] and the little ape-boy have kept me going for almost three
decades. Ah, who am I kidding, the best part was the dinosaurs, especially
the little brontosaur they could ride. I still hum the theme song;
especially when I meet people named Marshall, Will, or Holly. About two
years ago I went on a frantic internet search for an mp3 of the theme (it is
soft and scratchy, but still banjo-riffic!). I bet you never notices, but
the themesong to Land of the Lost can be sung to tune of (the new, fake,
sellout) Metallica's rendition of "Whiskey in the Jar," with amusing
results.

I wonder if that show has anything to do with my reluctance to go whitewater
rafting?

P.S. Dan, the link to that article doesn't seem to be working. Maybe it is
me...
