       It wasn't Marsh Holland was worried about, he was dead and in the 
wrong paleo political party anyway. It was Henry Fairfield Osborn (pronouced 
"Osburn") at the American Museum of Natural History who essentially defied 
Holland 
to attach the Diplodocus-like skull. I've seen copies of some of the 
correspondence and it's quite interesting. Osborn had all the clout and a 
brontosaur 
with quasi-camarosaur skull already on display at the AMNH. Holland backed 
down.
