Fw: The Evolution and Expansion of C4 Plants
Uh, yeah. I think I wanted to fw this to this list. I think it will have
some interesting implications. The site also mentions a few other on-topic
meetings (on the Early Jurassic, for example). No abstracts are online yet.

Subject: [P&C] The Evolution and Expansion of C4 Plants
----------- Forwarded message------------
Dear Colleagues,
I wish to draw your attention to the following topical session at the
2004 GSA meeting in Denver this November.
Oral and poster papers are being solicited.
Note: Abstracts are due July 13, 2004:
Session T54: The Evolution and Expansion of C4 Plants
Conveners: Mark Pagani (Yale); Darren Gröcke (McMaster)
This session explores the history of C4 photosynthesis during the
Mesozoic and Cenozoic. We hope that this session will bring together a
varied audience due to the cross-disciplinary nature of this topic and
ultimately help us to understand the relationship between the
evolution/expansion of C4 plants and the history of atmospheric CO2
concentrations, annual minimum temperatures and hydrologic cycle.
