The mammal faunas, at least, are extremely dissimilar, SA's consisting
almost entirely of dryolestoids that had died out in all other known
localities, while NA had spalacotheriids that have not been found in
Gondwana, IIRC, as well as deltatheridiids and a considerable diversity of
multituberculates.
