Re: Pan-clades, good or bad?
Another idea, built on use of pan-stems with Pan- prefixes, and crowns
with Corono- prefixes, just to describe how if any clade type should have
a prefix for identification purposes, they ALL should:
Pan-stem clade names shall include a contained clade name with Pan-
preceeding them.
Crown clade names shall include a contained clade name with Corono-
preceeding them.
Stem clade names shall include a contained clade name with Clado- or
Stirpso- preceeding them.
Node clade names shall include a contained clade name with Ramoso-
preceeding them.
Stem-modified nodes with be a combination of stem and node prefixes,
thus clade names shall include a contained clade name with Cladoramoso-
preceeding them.
Apomorphy-based clade names shall include a contained clade name with
Morpho- preceeding them.
Lineage-segment clade names shall include a contained clade name with
Genu- preceeding them.
Now, let's have some fun. If you want to name a clade and have it
require an easy mnemonic form of a name, use the system logically and
apply it to all forms of clade names for utility. I think this is the
start of a new rash of possibilities.
Cheers,

Little steps are often the hardest to take. We are too used to making leaps
in the face of adversity, that a simple skip is so hard to do. We should all
learn to walk soft, walk small, see the world around us rather than zoom by it.
