It's not supposed to be a Haopterus egg and embryo. The egg comes from the
Middle Aptian Jingangshan Beds of the Yixian Formation, while Haopterus is
from the Early Aptian Dawangzhangzi Beds. The authors just said out of the
known Yixian pterosaurs, it resembles Haopterus most.

using the new geological timeline.
Tuchengzi Formation- Early Valanginian
Lujiatun Beds of Yixian Formation- Late Valanginian-Hauterivian
Jianshangou Beds of Yixian Formation- Late Barremian-Early Aptian
Dawangzhangzi Beds of Yixian Formation- Early Aptian
Jingangshan Beds of Yixian Formation- Middle Aptian
Jiufotang Formation- Early Albian
