Am Mus Nov - new papers
Hi,
this is a notification of some new papers published in American Museum
Novitates.
DIEGO POL & MARK A. NORELL (2004): A new crocodyliform from Zos Canyon,
Mongolia. ? American Museum Novitates, 3445: 36 pp., 16 figs.; (American
Museum of Natural History) New York. (2.6.2004).
A basal crocodyliform, Zosuchus davidsoni n.g. & n. sp., based on 5
specimens from the Lower Cretaceous of Mongolia, is found to be most
closely related to Sichuanosuchus and Shantungosuchus.
MARK A. NORELL & SUNNY H. HWANG (2004): A troodontid dinosaur from Ukhaa
Tolgod (Late Cretaceous Mongolia). ? American Museum Novitates, 3446: 9
pp., 4 figs.; (American Museum of Natural History) New York. (2.6.2004).
A few skull pieces and associated fragmentary postcranial material is
assigned provisionally to Saurornithoides mongoliensis.
JULIA A. CLARKE & MARK A. NORELL (2004): New avialan remains and a review
of the known avifauna from the Late Cretaceous Nemegt Formation of
Mongolia. ? American Museum Novitates, 3447: 12 pp., 3 figs., 2 tabs.;
(American Museum of Natural History) New York. (2.6.2004).
The Nemegt avifauna is reviewed, with 3 additions, and compared to the
underlying Barun-Goyot and Djadokhta formations, with which no avifaunal
elements are common so far.
DANIEL T. KSEPKA & MARK A. NORELL (2004): Ornithomimosaur cranial material
from Ukhaa Tolgod (Omnogov, Mongolia). ? American Museum Novitates, 3448:
4 pp., 1 fig.; (American Museum of Natural History) New York. (2.6.2004).
A rostral snout portion, an anterior mandibula portion and vertebral
fragments are referred to only as ornithomimosaurs; details of the palatal
configuration for that group are discussed.
