Hello everyone,

The Martian did it.

Back in the mid 1980's, a supermarket scandal sheet (ie, a tabloid that, 
IMHO, is not worth the paper it's written on) had an article about Martians 
hunting dinosaurs for trophies with Iridium rayguns.

It explained the head-less fossils that we find today, their extinction, 
the crater in Mexico (one of their bigger Iridium powered ships exploded), 
and the Iridium layer.

Still one of my favorites.
