Mike Everhart has just posted a 1921 Scientific American article by
Gilmore about the Smithsonian's Tylosaur you might find interesting. The
specimen shows the typical downward tailbend distally. Not mentioned is the
polycotylid plesiosaur remains in the gut region Mike has been eyeballing. DV
