Re: Purussaurus and Rhamphosuchus
Hi Bob,
no, there was no reply so far. Now I found some infos in the internet
(Google-search for Sarcosuchus, Deinosuchus, Purussaurus and so on. But I
think you already know all these adresses).
Yeah, I have spent a few hours looking around on google, etc. What I really
need to reconstruct these two crocs properly are skeletal reconstructions,
but both are only known from skull fragments, are they not? I have seen a
very nice Purussaurus skull at:
http://nhm.co.la.ca.us/exhibitions/croc/croc4.htm
Regarding Rhamphosuchus, I can barely find a thing of use. If you become
aware of any descriptions and/or papers written about these two illusive
beasties would you let me know, please? I will keep searching.
And of course I am most interested seeing your Deinosuchus-painting.
"The Reaper in Paradise." Deinosuchus ("Phobosuchus" riograndensis) and
Albertosaurus. Here it is (let me know if it doesn't come out too well and
I will send a better quality copy):
