This problem also arises in Linnaean taxonomies. That's when the endings
change while the stems remain unchanged. E.g., Megalosauridae might be
demoted to being a subfamily of another family and then become
Megalosaurinae. Reordering a hierarchy in phylogenetic taxonomy could be done
in somewhat the same fashion, were the nomenclature not already so chaotic
and unstructured.
