Elliot, the sauropod of Oz
If anyone happens to be in the area of Winton, Queensland, on the 4th of
July, the results of the current excavation to find more of "Elliot",
the worst kept secret in Australian palaeontology, will be on display.
Were there enough commas in that sentence for you?
The excavation is being led by Scott Hocknull, of "Young Australian of
the Year" fame (yes - we hold our palaeontologist in high regard down
here). Although I'm guessing the chance of anyone being in the vicinity
of Winton at any time is slim to none...
