Shangshaximiao Formation Age

This formation is usually considered Late Jurassic, but Tom Holtz (http://www.cmnh.org/dinoarch/1997Apr/msg00098.html) said that new conchostracan work supports a Middle Jurassic age for the whole "Mamenchisaurus fauna".  Is this accepted, has there been more work on this, and if it is true, where are the Late Jurassic Chinese dinosaurs?
