Overlooked 2001 publication & SVP abstracts

       This is in response to Qilongia. You have not read the manuscript -- thoroughly revised, and updated -- so you are not in a telepathic position to know its contents, nor the lengthy conversations Sam Welles and I sustained over a considerable length of time. as I was in the process of revising it over a period of years. Poecilopleuron appeared in 1837, along with other spellings in the same publication by Bronn, and I demonstrate in my  publication that the 1837 spelling is, in fact, not a nomen nudum. You have never read this literature obviously, so no further comment on my part is necessary. Torvosaurus is, in my work, synonymized into Megalosaurus. Allosaurus is, in fact, not ignored in my book, but is diagnosed thoroughly, and is composed of three species: A. fragilis, A. whitei Pickering 1996, and Dan Chure's new species.  I believe Allo!

My book -- which is outlined in detail in another forum -- opens with Ceratosauria (Liliensternus, Dilophosaurus, Merosaurus, Sarcosaurus, Walkersaurus hesperis, Elaphrosaurus [two species, E. bambergi, E. philtippettensis],  Ceratosaurus willisobrienorum), all taxa diagnosed, described, illustrated with photographs and drawings. Then Tetanurae, Megalosauridae...then Avetheropoda...then Maniraptoriformes incertae sedis (Proceratosaurus), Arctometatarsalia, Tyrannosauridae, Maleevosaurus Pickering 1984, Tyrannosaurus stanwinstonorum Pickering 1996 ["Sue"], Tetanurae incertae sedis (Altispinax lydekkerhueneorum Pickering 1990), and closes with Theropoda incertae sedis (Liassaurus huenei). 
We are here to discuss the science of dinosaurs, so I shall not say to you what I would want to say in response to your ill-chosen comments. When my manuscript is published, then you can, on a scientific basis, make comments (which I shall, I assure you, ignore).
