Acronyms are good for DML

Sometimes learning acronyms and abbreviations can be a pain, but once they are learned, they sure do save a lot of time, typing strokes, and/or tongue-mouth motions. I noticed even Mark used DML rather than Dinosaur Member List (I think that's what it stands for). And David has posted that list of common "Internet" acronyms (BTW, IIRC, TGIF, etc.), which could be found in the archives. HP happens to be one of the acronyms used on DML.
In fact, if you were to say that a dinosaur program was going to be aired tonight by the National Broadcasting Company, some people might not know you were talking about NBC. Even in a world that seems to be drowning in such things, I can still truthfully say TG4A (Thank Goodness For Acronyms), especially those longer ones like LASAR, UNESCO, and ROTFLMAO. :-)
------ Cheers, Ken
