Re: HP



HP = Honored Poster, or something to that effect.  HP came into use as a way of referring to people without having to worry about Dr., ect... and giving everyone a sort of level title which didn't imply not knowing as much about the subject (correct me if I am wrong), since not everyone here has a Phd, ect...

I for one don't mind them at all, And I think the average newbie is going to be much more confused by cladistic and anatomical terms, as I know I was at first...

Before, being referred to as HP just make you feel all warm and funny inside :)

I think its short for Holy Priest of Paleontology...

Seriously, it stands for "Honored Person". Check the archives...its come up
a few times.
