Pete Trusler workshop
For those few of you who happen to be in West Oz this month...
This just in from John Long:
Hi Guys,
More to follow about this event, but please tell any friends or budding
artists who might be interested to keep these dates free:
Peter Trusler, the artist who works with Pat and Tom Rich reconstructing
polar dinosaurs, and creator of the dinosaur stamp series of 1992 (plus
some of the early Gould League series bird posters), will be here in Perth
from Monday January 28th-Wed Jan 30th.
The (WA) Museum is also offering a 2.5 hour workshop with Peter in which he
will explain in detail his methods and techniques for reconstructing palaeo
art, and other techniques he uses for wildlife art.
Time: Monday Jan 28th 2-4.30pm. This will cost $15 /head and is limited to
30 people only, and will be widely promoted in the West Australian
newspaper on Jan 19th, so be early if you want to secure a place.
I hope we can also meet with Peter informally to discuss your own work with
him. At this stage I need expressions of interest for the workshop
(designed mainly for professional and up and coming artists) and for you
guys to pass the word to anyone you know who might be interested.
Bookings direct to Adriana Fazzari on 9427 2841 (or you can email to me
(long@museum.wa.gov.au) if interested in securing a place).
Cheers
John
...
Well I don't know about the rest of you but I'll definately be there ;).
Pete's poor frozen Leaellynasaura ranks as one of my favourite pieces of
paleoart!
Cheerio
