Nonsense. For example, it still has ranks that mean nothing. These ranks are
the only reason that paraphyletic taxa are required, and that many
holophyletic taxa cannot be named. This is totally at odds with our needs.

ever understood the meaning of ranks (apart from those people who thought
they were discovering God's creation plan)? I haven't.
