Ambiortimorphae? Ichthyornithidae?

A few years ago (e. g. www.cmnh.org/dinoarch/1999Nov/msg00227.html) there
was the idea that *Ambiortus*, *Ichthyornis*, *Apatornis* and presumably
other poorly known K members of Euornithes (even *Chaoyangia* IIRC) could be
lumped into a clade called Ambiortimorphae. When I mentioned it onlist (3
times), nobody protested. But I've never seen a cladogram with such a clade
(or in fact any cladogram with *Ambiortus*). What, if anything, is the
latest published word on that? Or should I just wait for the Mesozoic Birds
book (as I have to for reading how much of *Apatornis* is now considered an
anseriform, as the Ostrom Symposium volume cites)?

Thanks as always
