Chure's thesis part 1
Mickey Mortimer's opening analyses of Dan Chure's
dissertation is panoramic. Setting aside the
typographic errors etc., the dissertation is a fine
introduction to Allosaurus itself, although I would
disagree that Allosaurus whitei is synonymous with A.
fragilis, and shall, somehow, master cyberia and
present my Mutanda Dinosaurologica with its diagnosis
of A. whitei. Sexual size dimorphism may be present in
Allosaurus spp., but, for the moment, one will have to
await Chure's promised peer-reviewed paper derived
from this dissertation before approaching the subject
(I have always believed that theropod social groups
consisted of larger, more powerful females, as their
biochemistry was surely more complex than males, who
had, as it were, an "easier time" of living without
having to produce and brood eggs).
Boker tov, Mickey Mortimer, for an excellent critique.
