people have been crusading for years to get that change done (impossible

Nothing is wrong with the name *Jeholornis prima*. The etymology is
"first Jehol bird", and adjuncting it to a clause on erroneous stems
honoring women seems puzzling.

You can either deal with it, or appeal to the ICZN. Simple. The ICZN
does allow for application, and gender issue things are, in these days of
editing, a matter of the authors', and thus their error is not means of
supplying alternate nomenclature or applicatory nomenclature.
*Hypsilophodon foxii* has not, I believe, ever been emended when it could
have. I am hoping the next edition of the ICZM permits revision for gender
issues, though....

Depends on where the error came from.

Little steps are often the hardest to take. We are too used to making leaps
in the face of adversity, that a simple skip is so hard to do. We should all
learn to walk soft, walk small, see the world around us rather than zoom by it.
