really like any skeletal reconstructions, images, or papers of recently
describes thyreophorans such as Aletopelta, Glyptodontopelta,
Hesperosaurus, Liaoningosaurus, and Cedarpelta.
Thanks!
Michael First of I’ll
say good luck in finding skeletal reconstructions (except for Aletopelta that
is). There is something that is frustrating in a way, and it’s not your asking
for skeletal reconstructions, and that is just because a large portion or
nearly complete specimen is known and described doesn’t mean a skeletal
illustration was ever done. You’ll find this a lot. For those of you who have
the recent JVP, look at how many skeletons were done. This is where people like
Greg Paul, Jaime H., myself and others (many on the list) come it. ”WE’ (taken
as a whole) will make the skeletal illustrations (mainly just because WE want
to know what it looked like!). Then when that’s done, what next? Does it get
published anywhere? Sometimes, other times not. I’ve hundreds of illustrations
that no one has ever seen, but… I know I’ve
been saying that I’ve been working on a huge taxa list for a few years now. I
believe the best way for me to distribute the list will be a web site. On this
web site you’ll find the systimatics, Genus, Species, Holotype, Locality,
Horizon, Biostratigraphy, Age, Material and referred material (no diagnosis,
you’ll have to get the papers for that. I can’t do everything) and I want to
have it fully illustrated! Which will take time. Hopefully later this year I’ll
have this up and running and to the chagrin to some, it’ll be a cheep pay site
(I have to make a living somehow and right now things don’t look good). Hopefully
there you’ll be then able to find the information you and others are looking
for. So to coin a phrase from Tom H., wait for the er, website. Tracy L. Ford P. O. Box 1171 Poway Ca 92074 |
