speechless

Dear listmembers,

I am speechless about what happened.... There are no words to describe these
terrible acts. My sympathies for all people who have lost loved ones or who are
lost themselves. I heard about the attacks yesterday and couldn't believe it.
Then I saw it on TV
and couldn't believe it. It took some time before it settled in: watching
perhaps thousands of people going down with the twin towers. The best of luck
to all of you in handling with these extreme circumstances. Help eachother out
in all ways you can:
giving blood, helping in emergency hospitals if you have the skills.
Talking about revanche or retalliation is, I think, out of place although
understandable, but it will not undo the tragedy: our first thoughts and
actions should be for the dying and wounded. Personally I feel it as an attack
on the whole Western
civilization: all countries should combine their intelligence and knowledge
about these characters (I will refuse to call them people) and take away their
resources (and if necessary key individuals) so these events will belong to
history and not to the
future anymore.
Again, strength and hope to you all,
