I agree, a counter opinion should have been presented.
I have great respect for Dr. Horner, but I don't think
we should dethrone the T-Rex as the ultimate predator.
I am a beginning student of paleontology and do not
have much anatomy or physiology under my belt yet. I
am still in intro geology courses. Most of my dino
knowledge has been amassed on my own. But I am
familiar with Dr. Currie's work and I agree with his
assessment of T-Rex. Most of Dr. Horner's hypothesis
have been around for a while. Like I said lets not
count T-Rex out as king of the predators yet!
