dinosauromorpha/crurotarsi
Dear All,
I'm back and trying to get caught back up. My compliments to HP Mike
Taylor on an excellent FAQ "what is cladistics" (including reversals).
Clearly explains it, and also gets down to the nitty gritty of some very
thorny problems. Great job!!
But before I get back to Dinosauria (what diagnostic synapomorphies
can we *really* count on-----3 or more sacrals was one of the first ones I
scratched off the list a long time ago), I am still troubled about some
basal Crurotarsi and their relationships with dinosaurs.
I haven't yet seen Parrish's 1993 paper (on Crocodylotarsi) in JVP,
but found his abbreviated matrix online (unfortunately the characters
weren't listed in the online version). BTW, Lewisuchus apparently fell not
only within Crurotarsi in this analysis, but within Suchia. Anyway, can
anyone tell me what are Parrish's characters 19, 20, 21, and 25?
-----Thanks, Ken
