E-journals

Hi all,

I've been watching this thread with some concern. How will such a journal be policed? Would these e-journals be able to guarantee me that my research is not going to be hacked into and changed? Or would I have to periodically go into my paper and check it to make sure it's still mine?

There are a lot of unscrupulous people out there who obviously have way too much time on their hands. I suppose that I'm being cynical and a bit paranoid, but I don't want any research that I've done to be tampered with by computer hacker idiots. Am I the only one concerned about this?

When the Himalayan peasant meets the he-bear in his pride,
He shouts to scare the monster, who will often turn aside.
But the she-bear thus accosted rends the peasant tooth and nail,
For the female of the species is more deadly than the male.
