Microvenator is a basal oviraptorosaur by latest analyses, and by my own,
unpublished work.
Positive identification of the right dentary adds to Makovicky and Sues, 1997,
analysis which only
vaguely supported the position. Subsequent description of Caudipteryx provides
more insight in
basal oviraptorosaurs, but no resolution further.
Camarasaurus is a camarasaurid, a group that requires further resolution.
Please refer to
discussion two weeks ago, Camarasaurus came up rather prominently. Available
discussion is there.
Camarasaurus is neighther diplodocid/oid, or even brachiosaurid.
