FW: Chindesaurus

I sent this yesterday, but it didn't seem to get through to the list...

<<What's the position of _Chindesaurus_ in the classification: a basal
theropod (as it's told here) or a more primitive dinosauromorph?>>

This specimen is on display at the Petrified Forest Nat. Park. Having seen
it, I can tell you that the preservation is not the greatest, but there is a
fair amount of material. Long and Murry (1995) named it in a short
description as a herrerasaur. Rauhut (2000) called it archosaur indet., but
I cant believe that it is this undiagnostic. As with many poorly known
specimens, this one sorely needs to be redescribed.
