Since Mary did not explicitly say that she is shutting down the thread let
me close that loophole.  This should be the last message on the subject

consequences of pursuing a thread that we've shut down).

As a public service announcement I will add that before you even consider
forwarding warning messages and the like (even if just to your family) you
should do some work to verify that they are not hoaxes.  A good site to
check for such things is:

http://urbanlegends.about.com/

You'll note that the "Rental Trucks Disappear Across U.S." hoax is
currently number two on their list.  If you'd like a list of other sites
to check to verify the non-hoax nature of warnings, prize-giveaways, etc.
