Life of Birds (was Re: Armadillos at the K/T!)

Yes, "The Life of Birds With David Attenborough" shows the dramatic journey

I saw the BBC television series, and I just finished reading the book. Both
are brilliant. Sir David Attenborough (the brother of actor Sir Richard
Attenborough) has a flair for this sort of thing.
While watching and reading "The Life of Birds", I could not help thinking
how many behaviors seen in modern birds might have been inherited from their
theropod forbears. The flashy crests and horns of so many Mesozoic
theropods make a lot more sense after watching this program.
(Alert viewers of "The Life of Birds" will have noticed that young hoatzins
are not the only modern birds that use all four limbs to climb trees.)
