War Eagles
In the late 1930's a film titled "War Eagles" was being developed by special effects genius, Willis O'Brien, and his producer from "King Kong", Merian C. Cooper. There were to be dinosaurs and giant eagles. Tests were filmed with animation models by Marcel Delgado ("The Lost World", "King Kong","The Son of Kong", etc.). It's a little difficult to read due to contrast, but will give an idea as to the possibilities of this film that was never completed due to another war at another time. I'd love to get a clear shot of this allosaur model...another holy grail.
A young teen-aged artist named Harryhausen first met his hero, O'Brien, during preproduction of this project. DV
