Maximum unrefueled range is not related to physical size for either birds or pterosaurs, with the exception that the animals will be lighter at the end of a journey than at the beginning, by the amount of fuel burned and water exhaled.

      Perhaps on paper or at NASA. But then you have the fairly small arctic tern that makes a 10,000 mile journey each way in its yearly migration. DV
