I got infected by the virus Sircam, and the virus sent copies of itself to everyone on my list.

I'm terrible sorry by this, totally out of my control

If you got a message from me in the past five days or so, with an attachment, don't open it, simply trash it rigth away.

I've got it 10 times or so by now, once from "The Ryans" from Australia and the rest from "Mike Archer" (the dromornithid researcher?). So if you get any mail with a text like "Hi! How are you? I send you this file in order to have your advice" and an attachment with a double file ending (.doc.bat, .doc.pif), delete it. Norton Antivirus knows it, fortunately.
