Is it possible to have accurate dinosaurs in movies and documentaries? Many
on the list believe no, that the movie companies have the final say. I say
there is an alternative solution. We have to stop working with the system (just
being consultants, and then banging our heads when the final production is
shown) and start working WITH IN the system. What do I mean by that? If we could come up with backers for JP4 to fund at least half the
special effects and take it to Universal and tell them that we will fund half
the special effects, but under one condition, that the dinosaurs have to be 100
percent more accurate. I doubt very seriously that Universal will turn that
down. We start a company or division (what ever) with people who want to have
them done accurately and go from there. The backers will get their money back
and then some (that’s what backers do). Our company gets a small percentage of
the profit. Some gets funneled into paleontology and research for more
projects. Once the new standard is set, others will have to follow because the public
will then have a higher idea of what the animals looked like. Maybe find someone who’s job it is to find backers who are interested in
such a project? And go from there. It is possible. Tracy L. Ford P. O. Box 1171 Poway Ca
