RE: JPIII: unmitigated rubbish
I disagree with some of the posts stating that the CG animation was
sub-standard, especially for ILM. Did I see a different film? In the
eight years since the original, there have been many improvements in the
software used to create the beasts and I believe in this film you can
see that. While the film obviously did not have the same 'WOW' factor as
the original, it certainly upped the ante on the animation.
Paleontological inaccuracies aside, I think ILM did a wonderful job...
(Directed to Tracey Ford)..The scene where the brachiosaur walks over to
check out the actors was one of my favorite shots in the film. The shot
showcases the neck and leg muscle movement. While I do not consider
myself an expert on brachiosaur movement, I do consider myself an
effects afficionado, and this shot showcases what the animators can do.
What did you find wrong or lacking in this shot? Just curious..Thanks
