That's the King Cobra, for those non-herpetologists on the List.

Back when I was a mere callow youth, I once asked my late, much lamented,
friend Dr. Nicholas (Nick) H. Hotton III whether any of his beloved
Synaspsids ever showed any evidence of having been venomous. He mentioned
the existence of a number of intriguing depressions in maxillary bones that
may have accommodated specialized glands, but cautioned that no specimens
exhibited hollow or grooved teeth. (Years later, when he was my special
guest speaker at a fund-raiser for the Insights! El Paso Science Center,
mere weeks after the death of his wife, Ruth, and just as the NMNH was about
to open their slab from the Ghost Ranch, he responded to my introduction to
my board and members "Bob, you were never *that* young." It was the most
perfectly delightful put-down I've ever endured.)
