D. antirrhopus sculpture (really cool)

Jordan and Daniel, Speaking of Deinonychus antirrhopus, I just found a really great sculpture online of D. antirrhopus done by Staffan Linder (with dino-fuzz), and he is working on an Oviraptor sculpture as well (the Deinonychus is so realistic-looking it looks like it could almost come to life): http://home4.swipnet.se./~w-47985/gallery/PaleoProjects.htm ***************************************************

What does the "antirrhopus" mean in Deinonychus antirrhopus?

As I understand it, the word "antirrhopus" means "upturned," in reference to the large, upturned claw of _Deinonychus_. As such, _Deinonychus antirrhopus_ would mean something like "upturned terrible claw." I like it! :)
