This is a really bad situation...a Catch-22. I don't know much about the
specimen other than what I have read on this list, but paying $200,000 for this
fossil, no matter how important it is, can be potentially devastating.
Hopefully Tracy is right and a "good" solution is in the works.
For now, though, at least the specimen will reside in a museum and have the
chance to be properly studied. It has a lot of important data to yield. I
hope the ramifications aren't too far-reaching or devastating, though.
