Re: MANDASUCHUS, CALLAWAYIA, THYREOPHORAN

Reexamination of _Shastasaurus neoscapularis_ demonstrates that it's
significantly different from the type species of the genus (which are
regarded as nomina dubia - thus _Shastasaurus_ is poorly founded) -
e.g. in morphology of the frontals - and needs a new genus, named here
_Metashastasaurus_. In a cladistic analysis, a monophyletic
Shastasauridae is found: _Mixosaurus_ and (monophyletic)
_Cymbospondylus_ are successive sister taxa to _Besanosaurus_ +
(_Shastasaurus_ + (_Shonisaurus_ + Metashastasaurus_)).

I'm a little confused. If _Shastasaurus_ is a _nomen dubium_, why was it included in the analysis?

_Planet of the Apes_ did not disappoint. I'm still trying to figure out
what the ending meant though...

It disappointed this viewer. The apes had far more personality than the humans. As for the ending, it may have something to do with Limbo (the orangatun-ish slavetrader) rummaging through Leo's pod and pocketing something (ah, but what..?). And notice, Thade's fate was studiously avoided in the film's denouement.
